DH Dig 25/11/07 Postponed
I'm postponing the Dig session this coming weekend to the following week, i.e to Sunday 2nd Dec.
The reason is that I want (read need) to implement a change to the very bottom of fast track after the ski jump and gulley that re-directs the track down a newly scraped out section. To do so we need a good number of bodies as we need to build quite a substantial berm and I need time to sign the area to warn users of the work in progress that day. This delay also gives me time to draw up the proposal for the changes and post it up here and other forums and in the woods so everyone is aware of whats happening.
This change is neccessary and is not up for discussion and allows a continued trail where it would otherwise stop (note the "Stop Trail End" signs are already in place although people ignore them and exit straight out onto the TPT) by the implementation of the staggered gate system.
An idea of who would be available would be apprecaited.

XC Dig - November and December Ride
November XC Dig day - 25th 10:00am top car park.
This month we will be working mostly on opening up section 5 and putting up trail markers for the whole red route. Additional singletrack will be added as we progress with the trail.
December XC RIDE ! - Yep were ditching the tools , donning Santa hats and cracking open the mulled wine for a trail builders ride out. Sunday 16th meeting at top car park. Santa hats compulsory

DH DIG DAYS
I'm just in the process of allocating days for the DH digs, which should hopefully be up here soon. The basic pattern will be 1 or 2 this month, a rest in December and then back to it with 2 a month in Jan, Feb, Mar and Apr.
Work will almost certainly go back to Fast Track in order to finish this off as the general feedback and consensus has been favourable in terms of what has been introduced upto present.
